Join Karen Frankel for this colourful workshop. It is for those of you who would like to enhance your drawings and sketches with colour. You will use different media and learn about colour mixing, tone with colour and what warm and cool colours are. Some drawing experience is an advantage. Learn from Karen Frankel, an experienced artist and teacher.

• How not to get ‘muddy’ colours
• Using watercolour pencils
• What are complimentary, warm and cool colours and how are they used.
• Understanding colour versus tone
• Tips on overcoming common misconceptions.
• How to shade for 3D form with colour
• Using colour to show distance in landscape
• Drawing from real objects

THINGS TO KNOW
• The workshop is not on the UWA campus but in Morley at Galleria Art Studio, Unit 2, 6 Barnett Court, Morley.
• All materials are provided.
• Morning and afternoon tea is provided but please bring your own lunch.
• Although we have shops nearby there is not enough time to both buy and eat your lunch in the break.
