Bob Dannatt is a former professional aircraft pilot, engineer and sessional academic. His piloting experience includes military fighter aircraft, airline aircraft, and a wide range of general aviation aircraft. Bob has worked for the Royal Australian Air Force, Qantas and the aviation safety regulator CASA. Bob established an aviation consultancy company, AVISE, eleven years ago and has travelled worldwide providing aviation safety services to the resource industry and medical service companies. After graduating from UWA with a doctorate in Business Administration in 2002, Bob developed and taught a unit on risk and safety management for the MBA program at Curtin University. He was appointed as an adjunct professor in 2004. Bob is also engaged in safety training programs for pilots.
