Daniel Midgley

Daniel Midgley teaches linguistics at the University of Western Australia and at Edith Cowan University. He is a presenter on the popular weekly radio programme and podcast Talk the Talk, which airs on RTRFM 92.1, a community radio station in Perth. He also talks about language on “The Speakeasy”, a weekly show on ABC Radio 720 Perth.
Daniel has studied Spanish, French, Russian, and a bit of Japanese. He doesn’t mind when people ask him how many languages he speaks, which makes him rather unique among linguists. He thinks it’s fine to say “rather unique”.
