Martin Porr is Associate Professor in Archaeology at The University of Western Australia. He has published on issues relating to Palaeolithic archaeology and art as well as general topics related to anthropology and archaeology. He is co-editor of The Hominid Individual in Context (with Clive Gamble) and Ethno-Analogy and the Reconstruction of Prehistoric Artefact Use and Production (with Linda R. Owen). He is currently engaged in research into the earliest figurative art of Europe, the early modern human settlement of Southeast Asia and rock-art studies in the Kimberley, Northwest Australia.
