Susan became a first time mother at 39 and her perspective on life changed dramatically. She was used to being goal-orientated, task focused and extremely disciplined. It no longer seem to work as a parent! She trained as a coach when her oldest child was three and has spend the last six years adapting her parenting style to that of a parent coach. Susan comes to parent coaching with 20 years of business experience working as a successful accountant in the financial sector both in Ireland and the UK. She understands how important it is to upskill during your professional life. It is important to learn new skills as a parent as your child moves into the next stage of their life.
She holds a Diploma in Business & Personal Coaching with the Irish Lifecoach institute. This qualification is accredited by the ICF (International Coaching Federation). She is a board member of the ICFA (International Coaching Federation Australasia) since November 2010 and is part of the WA leadership group also. The ICF is a world leader in setting professional standards in the coaching industry. As a member, she commits to working within an agreed code of ethics and code of conduct as a coach.
She is a member of her local primary school School Council.
She is also an associate member of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). This is the global professional body for Management Accountants, and is also a member of her local primary school School Council.
