Dale Neill is one of Australia’s leading photographic tutors. He has led photographic tours to Egypt, Borneo, Peru, Antarctica, Colombia and Galapagos. Over many years Dale has developed a sixth sense for travel photography, particularly in relation to travel portraits.
Dale uses Nikon D700 cameras with 20mm, 50mm and 85mm prime lenses and 24-70mm and 70-400mm zooms. For travel his kit includes Fuji mirror-less cameras X100, XE-1 and X10. For underwater he uses Panasonic Lumix FT4. LowePro camera bags and Manfrotto tripods complete his kit.
Dale is a Master Photographer in the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography), having gained Silver Awards each year from 2001. Dale won the WA Professional Photographer of the Year 2005 and the WA Commercial Photographer of the Year 2005. In 2011 Dale was a finalist in the National Portrait Award with his work being hung in the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra. Dale initiated the Fremantle International Portrait Prize
