Pam began her career as an Art teacher in a high school in the UK. She migrated to Australia in the 80’s and has continued teaching in the form of creative workshops in textiles and metal clay.
Pam has been working with contemporary clays since 2001. Contemporary clays are Silver Clay, Bronze Clay, Copper Clay, Air Dry Clay and Polymer Clay.
Pam has been tutored by some of the top metal clay artists such as Lisa Cain (UK) and Hadar Jacobson (US). She was a delegate at the PMC World Conference in Chicago 2008 and was a participant in numerous workshops by Hadar Jacobson in San Francisco and Melbourne. In 2009 she travelled to the UK and attained a Diploma 3/4 at the Mid Cornwall School of Jewellery.
In Australia, Pam is a Senior Instructor to the Accredited Contemporary Clay Instructors Programme and a PMC Guild Level 1 Certified Artisan in Precious Metal Clay. She is an executive committee member of the PMC Guild NZ/AUS.
Pam is also a casual Art Lecturer for TAFE at the C Y O’Connor Institute, where she teaches printmaking, textiles and mixed media.
Pam specialises in fibre arts and designer jewellery using the metal and polymer clays. She likes to share her skills with others she travels to teach and has retreats and workshops at her home studio. Pam is both creative and innovative. She is interested in promoting culture and creative pursuits, sharing her vast knowledge with others especially indigenous people.
