Kylie Sturgess is a creative radio tutor, former philosophy teacher, award-winning podcaster and presenter / producer at community radio station RTRFM.
Kylie investigates and reports on paranormal and pseudoscientific topics and how they intersect with popular culture. She blogs at Patheos, the academia, popular media, and faith website, for the blog Token Skeptic.
Kylie has lectured on teaching critical thinking, feminism, new media and anomalistic beliefs worldwide. In 2010 and 2012 she was the MC of the Global Atheist Conventions, and more recently has lectured at the New Zealand Skeptics Conference on science communication and skepticism.
In 2011, she published a book of podcast transcripts, The Scope of Skepticism and was awarded the Skeptic Magazine’s Ockham Award for best podcast. Other projects include the 365 Days of Philosophy site, host for RTRFM’s The Mag current affairs program, and co-presenter for Talk the Talk podcast.
