Stephanie has had a 28 year career in nutrition and community health and wellbeing in both WA and the UK. After graduating in Nutrition and Biology from Oxford Brookes University she spent a few years in as a Clinical Researcher with some of the big pharma companies in Europe including Glaxo SB.
She soon found her ambitions and passion lay in the more preventative fields of health. After studying to become an antenatal teacher, Stephanie spent the next 10 years facilitating birth preparation classes for expectant parents through their journey leading up to the birth of their child and the stages of postnatal life with a new baby.
Her work often included clients who were living through the struggles of processing birth trauma, postnatal depression and general anxiety disorder.
For the last 12 years Stephanie has worked in Perth, including rural and remote, for Ngala and Communicare in the realm of education and family support. Stephanie has facilitated 1000’s of workshops and presented on a wide variety of subjects. Topics range from early childhood nutrition and common feeding difficulties in children, to guiding child behaviour and the developing brain. She also runs her own consultancy business providing bespoke health and well-being workshops to clients including: schools, NGO’s, libraries, early learning centres, Nutrition Australia, Cystic Fibrosis WA, Bupa and Telethon Kids.
By studying areas of health as diverse as the gut biome and the gut brain axis; family of origin and attachment issues in childhood – she runs workshops addressing the many elements in our lives that impact our every day wellness and how we can make incremental improvements to our habitual ways of living that, according to the latest research, can help in a truly holistic way. She believes that by increasing our individual knowledge, there is always something we can do or change that moves our health and quality of life in the right direction.Stephanie enjoys living in Perth with her 3 adult children and dog Jesse.
